Through our remote project management process, online meetings, and digital collaboration tools, we are able to successfully deliver website projects for clients regardless of their location.
By engaging WebPilot’s services, requesting a quotation, or purchasing any of our website design, development, hosting, or maintenance services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Service 1: Website Design & Development
Service Details
WebPilot provides professional website design and development services tailored to each client’s business objectives, target audience, and marketing strategy.
Cost: From R3,750
Timeframe: 10–28 working days (depending on package)
Requirements:
Completed website brief, company information, branding, images (if available), and any required content.
Service Delivery
Before commencing a project, the client may be required to complete a website questionnaire or project brief outlining:
- Business information
- Website objectives
- Products and services
- Branding preferences
- Content requirements
- Design preferences
Delays in supplying the required information may extend the project timeline.
Service 2: E-Commerce Website Development
Service Details
WebPilot develops WooCommerce e-commerce websites designed to support online sales, customer engagement, and business growth.
Cost: From R12,500
Timeframe: 21–28 working days
Requirements:
- Product information
- Categories
- Payment gateway details
- Shipping requirements
- Company branding
Project timelines may be extended if the required information is not supplied.
Service 3: Website Hosting & Maintenance
Service Details
WebPilot offers website hosting and maintenance packages designed to keep websites secure, updated, and operating efficiently.
Services may include:
- Website hosting
- Email hosting
- Website monitoring
- WordPress updates
- Plugin updates
- Theme updates
- Website security
- Technical support
Website maintenance does not include new development work, redesigns, additional functionality, or content creation unless agreed separately.
Service 4: Website Rental Packages
Service Details
Website rental packages allow businesses to launch a professional website with a low monthly investment.
Website rental packages include:
- Website design and development
- Website hosting
- Website maintenance
- Technical support
Minimum Agreement
Website rental packages are subject to a minimum 12-month agreement.
Clients may purchase ownership of the website at the advertised buy-out price where applicable.
Payment Terms & Conditions
Website Purchases
Unless otherwise agreed:
- 50% deposit is payable before work commences.
- 50% balance is payable prior to the website going live.
Projects will not be published until the outstanding balance has been settled.
Website Rental Packages
Monthly rental fees are payable in advance.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of hosting and website services until the account has been brought up to date.
Website Ownership
Purchased Websites
Ownership of the completed website transfers to the client once all outstanding invoices have been paid in full.
Third-party software licences, premium plugins, stock photography, fonts, hosting infrastructure, and proprietary development systems remain the property of their respective owners.
Rental Websites
WebPilot retains ownership of rental websites during the rental period.
Where a website buy-out option applies, ownership will transfer once:
- The minimum agreement has been fulfilled (where applicable); and
- The buy-out fee has been paid in full.
Revisions
Each website package includes the number of revisions specified in the quotation.
Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed project scope may be quoted separately.
Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for supplying accurate:
- Company information
- Products and services
- Pricing
- Logos
- Images
- Legal policies
- Any requested documentation
Delays in providing information may extend project delivery dates.
Hosting & Maintenance
WebPilot will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain website availability.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability due to:
- Hosting provider outages
- Scheduled maintenance
- Internet failures
- Third-party software issues
- Cybersecurity incidents
- Force majeure events
SEO & Website Performance
WebPilot develops websites using recognised website development and SEO best practices.
However, we cannot guarantee:
- Google rankings
- Organic traffic
- Website enquiries
- Online sales
- Advertising performance
These outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
Refund Policy
All deposits, once-off payments, website rental payments, hosting fees, and maintenance fees are non-refundable.
Should a client cancel a project after work has commenced, payments already received will not be refunded.
General Terms
These Terms & Conditions replace any previous agreements relating to WebPilot’s services.
No amendment shall be valid unless agreed to in writing by both parties.
Failure by either party to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Privacy (POPIA)
WebPilot respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Information collected may include:
- Name
- Company details
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Website requirements
Personal information is used solely for:
- Project communication
- Quotations
- Service delivery
- Customer support
- Legal and accounting obligations
WebPilot does not sell client information to third parties.
Client Agreement
By requesting a quotation, paying a deposit, purchasing a website, subscribing to a website rental package, or making use of any WebPilot service, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
